Winter wonderland

It took me a long time to get this post written and up on my Myspace blog. The Photobucket tags don't work well on Myspace. I am reposting it here because I want something new here! It's about damn time for a new post!

It was frickin cold yesterday! It was NOT a wonderland in the positive sense of the word! It started out warm enough to rain, then the temperature dropped and wind picked up enough to cause quite a mess! There was sleet and snow and a lot of icy conditions. According to Weather Underground the high was 43 and low was -4 with maximum wind gusts of 44 mph! That's a BIG temperature change!

They let a lot of people go home early yesterday, including me. I thought I missed the bus because one rounded the corner as I was walking to the stop. I dusted snow off a rocky ledge and sat down because I thought I would have to wait in the cold and wind. However about 5 minutes later another bus came by. That rarely happens here in Madison, so the previous bus must have been very late and the one I caught must have been right on time! Yay for not having to wait in the frickin' cold for very long!

We've had a lot of snow in December as well. According to Weather Underground again, we had 33.5 inches of snow in December when the average is 12.6 inches. That's a lot! Of course I took some photos of the snow with my phone. I finally uploaded them to the net. This first one may look blurry, but it's actually heavy snow fall. I took it at night on State St. I like it a lot!

These pictures are of an apartment building near where I live. I'm pretty sure its college student housing. These pics were taken in early December. I think the residents were inspired to create a snow fort, but on the front porch! See the stacked snow bricks...

And another entire snow wall...
A wall of snow!

I hope you enjoyed these pics. They certainly took long enough to get uploaded and posted! I have been busy with work and not had a working computer at home.
